Friend of mine did a Subaru Rally team WRX-STI driveline swap in one these (he knows the guys at Vermont Sportscar). Light blue. It is soooooooo sleeper (aside from the roll cage and lack of interior, it's street legal, but gets trailered most places so it can be well rested for hill climbs...)

I just realized this is here in San Diego.....hnnnnngg......the only thing I can think is that maybe for some reason, it won't pass CA emissions.

I had a 90 Legacy wagon......it's gonna need a timing belt/water pump soon plus since you have most of the engine apart-you may as well throw a set of head gaskets on it....because it will need them at some point.
Good cars, but they have to be maintained to last a long time.

Not if you live anywhere there is salt on the roads all winter. There are NONE of that generation Subaru left in Maine.
